Use and maintenance of flashlights

2023-08-11

If the flashlight is not used and maintained properly, it may cause problems such as prolonged use, misfire, ineffective switching, battery loss, and coating detachment. The following are the precautions and specific methods for using and maintaining flashlights:

1. Immediately dry with a soft cloth after use to prevent moisture and hand sweat from seeping in during rain and snow. Otherwise, the plating of the flashlight is prone to peeling off or rusting.

2. Do not place the flashlight on a hot kang or by the stove, and also avoid coal smoke fumigation, otherwise the flashlight is prone to electric leakage.

When moving the flashlight switch, the force must be light and uniform to maintain the elasticity of the lifting spring.

4. When the bottom cover is facing the flashlight, loosen or remove the battery when it goes out to prevent the bottom cover from breaking the bottom of the battery and causing slurry to flow out.

5. If the silver plating on the return bowl is contaminated and affects the reflection of light, it can be wiped off with clean cotton instead of being manipulated by hand.

6. When installing a flashlight battery, it should be installed together with a paper sleeve, otherwise it is most likely to run out of electricity. After using the new battery for a period of time, the position can be changed to extend the battery's service life.

7. Generally, batteries stop emitting light at minus 20 degrees Celsius, so pay attention to insulation during cold seasons.
